The Louisiana Bayoukeeper® was created in 2004 by the Association of Family Fishermen, an organization of fishing families living and working along the bayou communities of Coastal Louisiana 30 miles southwest of New Orleans. Their mission is to engage and activate coastal communities for the purpose of promoting sustainable management of Coastal Louisiana’s Bayou Country and it’s natural resources for the benefit of all citizens.
